What To Wear For Your First Class?

When attending your first pole dance/fitness class, it’s essential to wear clothing that allows for freedom of movement while providing grip and support however we encourage people to wear what makes them comfortable first and foremost.

For the best experience we recommend students opt for form-fitting athletic wear, such as shorts paired with a comfortable sports bra or tank top. The skin-to-pole contact is crucial for executing moves, so consider wearing shorts to expose your legs. Avoid clothing with zippers, buttons, or excessive embellishments to prevent scratching the pole or causing discomfort.

For footwear, most beginners prefer dancing barefoot, as it allows better connection with the pole. However, some individuals choose to wear pole dance heels once they become more advanced. If you’re unsure, check with your instructor for specific recommendations.

Lastly, bring a small towel to wipe down the pole for better grip, and don’t forget to stay hydrated by bringing a water bottle. Overall, prioritize comfort, flexibility, and minimalistic clothing to make the most of your first pole dance experience.

As the class progresses, participants learn a variety of pole tricks, spins, and transitions that challenge both their physical strength and artistic expression. The instructor provides step-by-step guidance, ensuring safety and proper technique. The atmosphere is supportive and inclusive, encouraging students to embrace their individual styles. Towards the end of the class, a cool-down segment helps participants gradually return their heart rates to normal and includes stretches to enhance flexibility and reduce muscle tension. How Do I Know What Level I Am At?

If you are brand new you will start at the Beginner level (Level 1).
